Here's a classic wrestling mag cover from `78 (Bill Apter took the photo) that had a multi-page story on my feud with Maivia.

By the time we met up again in the WWWF, some six years after our run in `Frisco, I was Vince McMahon Sr.'s champion and one of the more popular stars in the business.  Despite the success I was enjoying at the time, I had not forgotten the generousity Peter showed me back during my rookie days, and was intent on returning the favor now that I was the champ.  The Samoan High Chief warrior never looked stronger than he did when he was wrestling The Superstar -- I made sure of that!

Without sounding like some kind of bitter oldtimer, which I'm not, I'd still like to see more selflessness in pro wrestling today.  Everyone is so concerned about themselves, they don't see that helping each other out and making sure everyone looks like a winner will actually help everyone get over.  It worked once, and I can guarentee it would work again today.
