Although not many fans know it, before there was The Superstar...there was The True Spirit of America!

I was young, brash, powerful, and individualistic.  In other words, my character was the true spirit of America -- as defined by the culture of the early seventies.  Kind of the reverse of Dusty's "American Dream" persona (which, incidentally, came about five years after my run as the True Spirit of America), the gimmick caught on with the fans, and with the help of Patterson, I learned how to make the fans truly hate me, and what I "stood for."
