They say every cloud has a silver lining...

Certainly, many of the last fifteen years have not been tremendously positive, or even pleasant, for "Superstar" Billy Graham.  Be it battles with an assortment of drugs (battles that, somewhat remarkably, were all eventually won by Mr. Coleman), witnessing the end of his career just as other younger men were becoming millionaires from using the gimmick he created, or the chronic health problems that have literally plagued him since his retirement, the trendsetting former wrestling champion has persevered, and over come each obstacle set in his path.   There have been many over the last decade and a half (among them, seven different hip operations, including a total hip replacement) but somehow his ailing health has, in some ways, improved in recent years.

Wayne Coleman, now in his mid-fifties, has settled (along with his wife Valerie) into retirement and is living in the Phoenix area.  The former Heavyweight champ has two grown children (Capella and Joe) and is also a proud grandfather.  It's quite a long way from the blood-soaked mats, crooked promoters and crazed fans -- as well as the glitz and glamor that comes with being the Champ. Certainly, I don't think anyone who is aware of his story would argue that if anyone deserves a happy, healthy life, it's Wayne "Superstar Billy Graham" Coleman.
