In a sad image (taken in 1990) the former Heavyweight champion struggles just to get up from his chair.
As a result of a combination of steroid abuse and wrestling while injured, Wayne Coleman has been forced to undergo seven different hip surgeries (one of which was filmed and used on WWF television as part of a storyline) and one total hip replacement. Considering everything he's been through, it's a wonder that Mr. Coleman can even walk at all. However, thankfully, he has stated that his most recent surgery should also be his last.
However, at the time this photo was taken, it must've been extraordinarily difficult for Coleman, who probably saw very little light at the end of a very long tunnel. Through his faith in God, excellent medical assistance, and his own personal determination and will power, Coleman is now said to be looking at a relatively pain-free, active and mobile future.
