In addition to the broken bones, torn ligaments, and inevitable back problems that nearly every pro wrestler faces, Wayne Coleman also found himself contending with a virtual grab-bag of steroid related injuries later in his career. Being the first wrestler to really further his career via steroid use (which was completely legal at the time) he was also the first to encounter the chronic, debilitating effects of the muscle enhancing compounds -- a dubious distinction that has, unfortunately, become more recognized than his many contributions to the wrestling business.
