It should be no secret to wrestling fans that, because of the monetary success created by his originality, charisma, and ability to "work" a crowd, the persona, image, and mannerisms of "Superstar" Billy Graham have been "borrowed" by many wrestlers, in many eras.

It should be no secret to wrestling fans...but in reality, it is.

While many twenty, thirty and forty-something "old timers" remember his incredible exploits and can appreciate the far-reaching impact of The Superstar, the truth of the matter is that many more of today's wrestling fans simply don't.

They've heard the name, maybe.  They know of his image, possibly.  More than likely, if they do know anything about "Superstar" Graham, it's that steroid abuse ended his career.

And that's about it.

To quote the late, great Gorilla Monsoon (a former "contender" to Graham's WWWF title) it's a miscarriage of justice that this most influential, trend-setting and monumentally important figure is essentially unknown to the majority of contemporary wrestling fans, as is knowledge of his influence on the personas and look of wrestlers both past and present.
