Here we see Graham, a former WWWF champion, taking on the reigning AWA World champion at this time, Rick Martel.  Still several years away from becoming "The Model," at this point in time the young Martel was an almost Backlund-esque "good guy." Meanwhile, Graham provided a solid challenge for Martel's title, and the Superstar gave the young and unproven French-Canadian a bit of a rub by losing to him in main-events all across the multi-state territory.
