Although he often portrayed the "cowardly heel" in order to incite a negative reaction from the fans, The Superstar was also as vicious as he was powerful.   Instead of running from a fight, Graham, as illustrated in this rare photo, often reveled in the violence of wrestling, and was a master at the art of "cheating."

When AWA matchmakers decided to turn The Superstar from the top heel to a babyface, Graham retained virtually all of his aggressive ring mannerisms, only now the power and fury of The Pythons was (at least for a short while) directed at the "bad guys."
